Day 3: Gallery Hop and Shop til You Drop in Downtown Santa Barbara
Classic or trend setting, funky or functional, contemporary or traditional, the Santa Barbara shopping experience offers something to suit every individuals fancy. State Street in Santa Barbara is lined with stores and galleries beginning just a few blocks from the beach. Our city prides itself on the multitude of independent local merchants offering you a truly unique shopping experience that you will not find anywhere else or in the chains. Venture off of State Street to explore the many hidden courtyards and alcoves crowded with interesting shops and cafes. Along with the many independent art galleries, we suggest that you visit the world-class Santa Barbara Art Museum. Take a look at our large map, which pinpoints our favorite stores and galleries. 
For the night, we suggest an early or late dinner with a show at the Arlington Theatre, The Lobero Theatre or The Ensemble Theatre. The Arlington Theatre is must if you haven’t been there before.
